Hours for this week

On Tuesday I went to Hollis Garden to shoot B-roll and interview both the foreman of the park and a photographer. After school, I edited the package and placed it into Austen's drop box. The segment didn't turn out as good as I'd hoped. The biggest problem with the package is the audio. I wasn't aware that the garden plays classical music throughout. My mic picked it up rather well, so it can be heard in the background of the foreman's interview. When I clipped and cleaned up his interview, you can hear the music jump cutting. Oh well. We roll with the punches! Lesson learned here! Total hours this week: 4 hours.

this week's show

For this week's show I am doing a package for Menus and Venues centered on the history and significance of Hollis Gardens. This morning I went down to shoot B-roll and an interview. I will be editing later tonight and shooting one more interview tomorrow afternoon. I will post my hours once the project is complete.

It is 1:27am...

I just finished editing two packages. One was centered around the Election and the other around Lakeland's upcoming Food truck rally. Tonight I had so many technical difficulties, thus why I am up at 1:30 in the morning. If it wasn't the audio, it was the video footage messing up. Oh well, I tried to fix the kinks. They couldn't appear on the news show this week because they would be outdated by the time the show aired, but I did post them on the Practicum page.

Last week's productiveness!

Last Friday I went to the Robert's academy to film their school's "mock election" for a little segment I am putting together. I am only missing one interview, which I am filming monday. Then I will post it up on the Practicum page. I also spoke with Tiffany Logan from the Downtown lakeland partnership about the upcoming Food truck Rally. I have an interview scheduled with her Monday as well. Hours: 2 hours
